Unique, original pair of “Magic Forest” torcheres designed by Tony Duquette. The metal torcheres- recalling leafy trees- hold individual, wired candle bulb sockets in ivory covers and red painted metal sprouts capped in crystal balls.
Provenance available upon request.
The torcheres have been recently rewired and restored.
Duquette first designed these “trees” for use in the fashion show finale to the MGM musical LOVELY TO LOOK AT in 1952.
