This is an exceptionally well crafted pair of asian inspired slipper chairs, newly upholstered in a cashmere velvet with bleached wood accents. Circa 1940’s, these chairs reflect the asian influence seen in design in the U.S. during the mid-century years. The legs on the base curve inwards to give the appearance that they are curling under. A greek key motif lines the upper most area of the chair bases. The cashmere velvet is a striking chocolate brown, allowing the exquisite bleached wood bases to pop and stand out. These would be a perfect pair of slipper chairs to add to a living or office area.
