This is lamp is a wonderful example of the creativity of the House of Gucci a real powerhouse for design in the 1970s. A beautifully carved wooden horse bust that rests in a brass oval fitting most likely emulating a stirrup, the stem of the lamp is the same brass. The bottom is suede lined and labeled Gucci. The tip of the right ear had been previously repaired. The shade 13″ high, has a navy blue exterior and silver interior. This would make for a stylish desk lamp. A real collectors piece, this lamp would serve any collection and knowing the hours is carved wood one can assume that these were not mass produced. Don’t let this one get away!
