This is a unique acrylic interpretation of an Ashanti stool in the style of Karl Springer. Its overall form reflects the Ashanti style while the support column is minimalist in nature with a 1″ terrace, with a single 4″ diameter hole cut in the center of the support. The edges of the seat are smoothly bevelled. The acrylic has been frosted and allows for some translucency and light. It is a very solid and sturdy piece; the base is 22″W x 7″D x 2″H. This stool is inviting and versatile and can be used in multiple interiors. This ancient form has been reinterpreted by many artists over time and it is a classic form. This version is made contemporary with the use of acrylic and the addition of the frosted finish adds to the modernity.
