Set of Six Art Deco Chairs in Brass and Leather
A great group of six period Art Deco chairs attributed to Gilbert Rhode.
The chairs have been plated in brass for a more contemporary feel and have been reupholstered in white leather with a contrasting black leather stripe down the center of the chairs. There is a slight difference in the chairs well illustrated in image 4 and image 6. Three of the chairs have a linen wrapped riser under the seat (image 6) and three do not (image 4.) Additionally the vertical straps that connect the seats and backs are of slightly different widths on the two styles.
Even given the slight difference it is hard to tell the chairs are not a complete set.
