Ledge Back Seniah by William Haines
This all original Ledge Back Seniah (Haines spelled backwards) was designed in 1955 for the home of Mervyn and Kitty LeRoy. Known as chair #13 model #966. The stylish legs are wrapped in Tortoise stained Leather and the real legs have the signature Haines “kick”. This chair retains the original Schumacher fabric “Elsie DeWolfe” a Haines favorite. It looks great in the pictures but to be used on a daily basis it would require reupholstery. This fabric is still available and so the chair can be faithfully restored if you choose to do so. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of American design history. This chair is pictured in Class Act William Haines Legendary Hollywood Decorator on page 156.
