Griffin Pin by Kenneth Jay Lane
Striking stylized griffin brooch in aged gilt brass inset with glass stones and rhinestones. Truly a little jewel of a piece, the tail is accented by a single teardrop shaped pearl. In antiquity the griffin was considered a symbol of divine power and a guardian of the divine. Both sides of the pin have wonderful texture and the reverse bears the earliest K.J.L. plaque.
