Cityscape Dining Table by Paul Evans for Directional Furniture
Magnificent dining table in burl walnut, chrome-plated steel and glass from Paul Evans Cityscape Series designed for the Directional Furniture Co. The measurements listed below are for the overall size of the tabletop. The base itself measures 62" wide x 20" deep and 28" high. The glass top is 1" thick original to the table and features notched corners and an 1 1/4" bevel.

Paul Evans (20 May 1931 – 7 March 1987) was an American born furniture designer, sculptor, and artist, who is famous for his contributions to American furniture design and the American Craft Movement of the 1970s, and with his work with the influential American manufacturer Directional Furniture. Paul Evans’ creation of metal sculpted furniture set him apart. He studied at the Cranbrook Academy of Art and later settled in New Hope, Pennsylvania, and shared a showroom with woodworker Phillip Lloyd Powell.
